Why a check before the MOT is worth £20
Roughly one car in four fails its MOT first time. DVSA’s own figures for April to June 2026 put the initial failure rate for class 3 and 4 vehicles, which is cars and light vehicles, at 26.75%. The biggest single cause is lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment, which makes up 24.67% of every fault found.
We would rather find that on your driveway than have you fail and go back. That is the whole point of the pre-MOT check.
