Mobile Fluid Changes, Coolant, Gearbox Oil & Power Steering at Your Door
Coolant, gearbox and automatic transmission oil, and power steering fluid, all changed properly on your driveway across Soham, Ely, Newmarket and Cambridgeshire. The correct fluid for your car, honest advice on what actually needs doing, no garage drop-off.
The fluids in your car quietly wear out. Coolant stops protecting against corrosion and freezing, gearbox oil breaks down and stops shifting cleanly, and power steering fluid gets dirty and thin. None of these give you much warning, and by the time you notice a problem the damage can already be underway. Changing them on schedule is cheap insurance against a much bigger bill. A mobile fluid change is that same work done at your home or work instead of a garage.
We change coolant and antifreeze, gearbox and automatic transmission oil, and power steering fluid on all makes and models, using the correct specification for your car. Based in Soham, we cover Ely, Newmarket, Cambridge and the villages in between. We'll tell you honestly what your car is actually due, and we won't talk you into a flush it doesn't need.
The right fluid for your car
Coolant, gearbox oil and power steering fluid all come in different specifications. We look up what your car takes and use the correct one, listed on your invoice.
Old fluid drained and disposed of properly
We drain the old fluid, refill to the correct level, and take the waste away for responsible disposal. You're not left with anything to sort out.
Honest advice on what's due
Some fluids are lifetime-fill, some are not, and some manufacturers are more cautious than others. We check your handbook interval and tell you straight whether it's worth doing now.
Done at your home or work
No booking the car into a garage and losing a day. We come to you, do the work on your driveway, and you carry on with your day.
Are fluid changes worth it?
For the money, yes. A fresh fluid costs far less than the part it protects. Here's what you're actually paying to avoid:
Coolant protects the engine
Old coolant lets corrosion build up in the radiator, water pump and heater. Fresh coolant keeps cooling working and stops the engine overheating in summer or freezing in winter.
Gearbox oil protects the gearbox
A gearbox rebuild is one of the most expensive jobs on any car. Clean oil keeps it shifting smoothly and lasting longer, which is cheap next to a replacement box.
Power steering stays light and smooth
Dirty fluid makes the steering heavy or noisy and wears the pump. A clean fluid keeps the system quiet and working the way it should.
No record? Start fresh
On a used car with no service history you've no idea when the fluids were last done. Changing them resets the clock and rules out an expensive surprise later.

Signs your fluids need changing
Noticed any of these? It's worth getting the fluid checked. We'll take a look and give you a straight, free quote.
Rusty, brown or cloudy coolant
Coolant should be brightly coloured. When it turns brown or murky it's stopped protecting against corrosion and is due a change.
The engine runs hot or the heater is weak
Old or low coolant struggles to move heat around. If the temperature gauge creeps up or the cabin heater is lukewarm, get the coolant checked.
Gear changes feel rough, jerky or slow
On an automatic especially, hesitation or a clunk between gears often points to tired transmission fluid. Worth checking before it gets worse.
Burnt smell or very dark gearbox oil
Transmission fluid should be reddish and fairly clear. Dark, gritty oil or a burnt smell means it's broken down and needs replacing.
Heavy, notchy or noisy steering
Steering that feels stiff or whines as you turn is often dirty or low power steering fluid, or a fault in the system that we can check for you.
You have passed the handbook interval
Many fluids are on a set schedule by time or mileage. If you're past it and can't remember the last change, it's due.
When should you book a fluid change?
If any of these sound familiar, it's worth booking in. Not sure? Ask us and you'll get a straight answer.

- An automatic gearbox is shifting roughly or hesitating
